Harry Styles and Tyla are among the nominees for this year's Ivor Novello Awards, also known as The Ivors.
The awards, which have been handed out since 1956, are the most prestigious music honor in the United Kingdom. They celebrate excellence in British and Irish songwriting, and are peer awards, voted on by other British and Irish songwriters and composers.
Harry is nominated in the category of Most Performed Work for "As It Was," which actually won in this category in 2023. The award is for the song that's been heard the most in broadcast, online and general performances in the past year, which just goes to show how insanely successful "As It Was," released in 2022, continues to be.
Also nominated in that category is "Boys a Liar Pt. 2" by PinkPantheress and Ice Spice.
Meanwhile, Tyla's breakthrough hit "Water" is nominated in the category of Best Contemporary Song, while RAYE's debut album, My 21st Century Blues, is up for Best Album.
The winners will be revealed May 23 at a ceremony in London.

Over the years, Rihanna has worn her share of stunning red carpet looks — and her share of extremely racy looks, as well. But now that she's a mother of two, Rih says she's experiencing some regrets over that.
For a TikTok posted by Vogue, Rihanna was asked if she had any "fashion icks." The Fenty mogul replied, "It's gonna sound hypocritical, 'cause I did so much s*** in my life. I had my nipples out, I had my panties out."
"But now those are the things, I guess, as a mom, and as an evolved young lady — young! Emphasis on young! — they're just things that I feel that I would never do," she continued. "And I’m just like, ‘Oh my God, I really did that? Nips out?’”
Rihanna was also asked if she had a favorite Met Gala look. She chose her 2015 look, which featured a massive yellow, fur-trimmed, embroidered cape made by a Chinese woman named Guo Pei to go along with the theme of China: Through the Looking Glass.
Describing it as a "fur stole that went all the way down the stairs," Rihanna smiled, "Nobody will ever forget that."

Selena Gomez hangs around 70-something Only Murders in the Building co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short. But on April 22, she was seen with another famous 70-something guy: Sting.
Selena and her boyfriend, Benny Blanco, were courtside at a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden, and Sting, 72, happened to be sitting next to them. One photo at People's website shows Sting and Selena, who already know each other, seemingly shaking hands.
As you may recall, in season 1 of Only Murders in the Building, Sting guest-starred as himself: He was one of the suspects in the death of his former accountant Tim Kono. In one scene, Selena, Steve Martin and Martin Short's characters confront Sting in his palatial apartment and present him with a fully-cooked turkey.
Selena's character also reacts to Steve and Martin's characters' suggestion that Sting is the murderer by saying, "The guy from U2?"
According to People, the game was also attended by Chris Rock, Ben Stiller, Carmelo Anthony and Christopher Meloni.

Hozier's "Too Sweet" chart success is almost too much for him to handle.
Following news that the viral single hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 — a career first for Hozier — the "Take Me to Church" artist has taken to Facebook to offer a "huge thank you for all the incredible support from around the world."
With "Too Sweet," Hozier becomes the first Irish artist to lead the Hot 100 since the late Sinéad O’Connor did in 1990 with her version of "Nothing Compares 2 U." It's also reached #1 in Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
"I've been both thrilled and taken massively by surprise by such a staggering reaction," Hozier writes. "It means the world that you're enjoying this song so much. Thank you all so much."
"Too Sweet" is a track off Hozier's new Unheard EP, which was released in March. It includes songs originally recorded during the sessions for Hozier's latest album, 2023's Unreal Unearth.

Now that Katy Perry has announced that she's leaving American Idol, the race is on to find a replacement. While Katy seemed to think guest mentor Jelly Roll would do a good job, Luke Bryan and Ryan Seacrest said they could also see another guest mentor this season, Meghan Trainor, taking the job.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight about whether he feels the "All About that Bass" singer could handle the judges' table, Luke said, "I think Meghan's always been real fun. You know, that's kinda been her brand, to have fun. [She's] real witty, so certainly."
Ryan, meanwhile, told ET, "She was very good. Megan is a super talent too, and she's got a great sense of humor. She's fun and she's spontaneous."
As for Lionel Richie, he revealed the main qualities Katy's replacement should have: "It's gotta be fun, but no ego. Because we're gonna insult each other so much," he said.
He didn't comment on Meghan Trainor, but he told ET, "I've got my list, but Kelly [Clarkson], if you don't have anything else to do, I'd like to drop that out there. I'm a big fan. Oh, and by the way, Taylor [Swift], if you're available, we'd like to have you out. Call me!"
Luke also has a list; he said he has at least "10 names" in his head of people who he thinks could replace Katy, though he wasn't willing to share them.

Just call it "Swiftonomics." While there have been numerous college courses based on Taylor Swift's songwriting or marketing prowess, a new one at American University in Washington, D.C., will focus on how much money she generates for local economies: an estimated $5 billion.
The university held a competition in which students were invited to design a course; the two who won, Megan Wysocki and Mackenzie Shultz, will get to see their idea put into action this fall. According to the Washingtonian, the course will analyze Taylor's Eras Tour in terms of job creation, tourism and consumer markets, and study her from a business perspective.
American University professor and Economics Department chair Kara Reynolds will teach Swiftonomics. She tells the Washingtonian, “I think the faculty get very tied up in what their interests are, and it is not necessarily the same interests as their students. When you look at it from the issues that [students] are excited about, they see the connection between what can be ‘dry-economic theory’ to their own, real experiences.”
Other universities that have offered or will be offering Taylor Swift-based courses include Harvard, University of Florida, UC Berkeley and the University of Tennessee.
