This is surely the craziest story I've heard all night -- maybe all week. A couple are driving down the road and see 2 men walking along it. Hitchhikers. One of them looks like Bono. Yeah, right. Well the guy, who happens to be Gilbert Brule of the Edmonton Oilers convinces his girlfriend to turn around. They give Bono and his assistant who were out on a hike and caught in the rain a ride. I wonder what that car conversation was like? Bono is grateful and gives the couple tickets to U2's show that night! And confesses to the the whole story on stage! I didn't beleieve it until I heard Bono tell it himself. Too funny! Pretty sure I would have never believed the guy, "sure you saw Bono..." and kept driving.
