We did it!
I'm happy to report that we passed our Box Tops For Education school year goal at MACCRAY East! I spent a lot of time this weekend counting Box Tops and our unofficial total is 26,576 (goal was 25,000)! Keep collecting for your school over summer break and you'll be surprised how quickly they add up. Thanks to everyone who supported our efforts. We couldn't do it without family, friends, co-workers all collecting.

I hope you had a nice Memorial Day weekend. This week for our family is packed with something every night. I'm not sure whether I'm coming or going. : )

Tomorrow (Wednesday) I'll be at a meeting so thanks to Bev Davis for filling in for me.

I can't wait to shop at Lillians this Thursday for our Relay For Life team fundraising event. Find out more about it HERE.

Jealous
I'm jealous of Andrew today. He's on his class field trip to tour Target Field and go on a paddle boat ride. I'd love a behind the scenes look at Target Field. Can't wait to hear all about it! It will be a wet field trip, but one they will always remember.

Congratulations to all our Cash In The Box winners! We had a great time handing out thousands of dollars in cash! Keep listening for more opportunities to win on Q102 including this weekend for our Summer Kick-Off Weekend with the Big Kahuna Fun Park and Q102.

Will you come shopping for a good cause? Please consider this your personal invitation to shop at our Relay For Life Team fundraiser a week from today, Thursday, May 31st from 4 - 7 pm at Lillians. They are going to donate 10% of sales during that time to our Relay Team which will go directly to the American Cancer Society!

If you can't shop during our event, you are still able to make a donation to our team by clicking HERE. Thanks for your support!

I'm participating in Relay in honor of my Aunt who is a breast cancer survivor, my Uncle who lost his battle to cancer only 1 day before his 58th birthday last month and for many other people who have touched my life and have dealt with cancer.

Relay is always looking for more people to get involved by having a team, being part of a team, volunteering and just spreading the word. Let me know if you have questions about getting involved and I can point you in the right direction. mmacht@yourQ102.com

BTFE
You know that I love Box Tops For Education! What's not to love, right? It's an easy way to earn cash for our schools.

We are so close to our school year goal of 25,000 Box Tops at MACCRAY East. As of last Friday, we needed less than 1,500 to achieve our goal. That's exciting!

Hopefully you're collecting Box Tops and donating them to your local school. If not, find out more about the Box Tops program HERE. It's so easy and you can even earn eBox Tops during online shopping.

I can't wait until next month. I'm taking two days off to go to the National Box Tops University. Yes, I really do love Box Tops!

Weekend
It was another great weekend. On Friday, I spent the day as one of the parent chaperones for the Kindergarten and 1st grade classes field trip at MACCRAY East. We packed a lot into the day including bowling, a tour of Cash Wise, lunch at a park, a tour of Citizens Alliance Bank in Clara City and a tour of Wild Hare Floral & Garden Center in Clara City. The kids did great on a such a hot day and all the places we toured did a wonderful job with the kids.

Saturday and Sunday we had a family adventure with my side of the family. We spent Saturday afternoon at
Historic Fort Snelling. My cousin is one of the actors there so we got to see her giving a presentation on the cooking at Fort Snelling.

Madeline and my niece Callie got to demonstrate how laundry was done.

Madeline got to try a banjo after the music lesson presentation

Saturday night was pool night at a hotel. Sunday we went to Edinborough Park and the kids got to burn off some more energy.

Here's my sweet nephew Emmitt

All the kids before we left Edinborough

I was ready for a nap when we got back home. Hope your weekend was wonderful too! Here's to a great week!

Call Me Maybe
You've probably heard us play "Call Me Maybe" from Carly Rae Jepsen. Fun song and some Harvard baseball players decided to have some fun with the song. Check out their video below. Notice the guy in the back with the sunglasses on. He slept through the whole thing!

Click HERE to read a story about the baseball team and how this video is now helping a charity.

Then this women's crew team got into the act. Check out this video from Southern Methodist University.

Here's Carly Rae Jepsen's video.

Tonight on American Idol we find out who makes it to the finale. I'd love it to be Jessica and Phil. Who did you vote for? mmacht@yourQ102.com

I'm off tomorrow (Friday) to chaperone Madeline's school field trip. Have a great weekend!

Fun

Yesterday we had a family fun adventure. We had a last minute opportunity to go to the Twins afternoon game so we made arrangements with work and let the kids miss a day of school. The Twins lost 5-0, but we had fun anyway. It was a blast to sit in the stands at Target Field on such a beautiful day! If I could pick a place to just hang out, it would be Target Field. I love it and I love our MN Twins (even when it's a rough season)!

Keep listening for your chance to play Cash In The Box on Q102! You could win up to $500! Good luck!

Running

I'm sure you can relate to feeling like you are constantly running somewhere. That has been my last two weeks. I've been driving about 60 miles a day to work and back home to pick up the kids and then back to Willmar again for Andrew's swimming lessons. Last night was his last lesson. Whew! Now Madeline starts hers on Monday so two more weeks of driving 60 miles a day. It would have been too easy to have her swimming level available during the same two weeks as Andrew. Oh well. I'm truly thankful to be able to get them there.

Thanks for your donations at Locks of Love! It was an amazing turnout. See pictures from before and after HERE.

See you at Nancy Harms in "Double Bass, Double Voice" Saturday night! Happy Mother's Day weekend! Saw this quote below and thought it was perfect.

"I'd like to be the ideal mother, but I'm too busy raising my kids."

Awkward

We've all seen them. Awkward family photos. Later this month we are having family photos taken with my brother's family, my parents and our family. I'm hoping we don't end up on some awkward family photo site, although the Larson awkward family photo landed them a free vacation. Read more about it HERE. Now his family is in the running for another vacation through the Modern Family Memory Book Contest. Watch their entry HERE.

Do you have an awkward family photo to share? I'd love to see it or hear about it. mmacht@yourQ102.com Also please share if you have any suggestions on a color scheme for us to wear for our photo. Figuring that stuff out is not my specialty.

Have a great weekend! Here's wishing all area students that are going to prom a fun and safe event. Thanks to the parents, volunteers, schools and businesses that help support area post-prom events!

Moving on
We are moving on. Jeremy won The Biggest Loser last night. Not a big surprise as he had more weight left to lose than Kim did. The producers did switch it up a bit and not have him standing on the scale as the last person to weigh-in. They didn't show a promo for a next season. Have you heard anything about it? mmacht@yourQ102.com

I'm thankful I'm not a judge on The Voice right now. It would be really tough to get down to two contestants left on your team and you think they are both talented artists, but you've got to rate them and that combined with America's votes decides who stays. The Voice finale is next week already!

Keep listening for your chance to be a contestant for "Cash In The Box"!

Finally
The finale is finally here for The Biggest Loser. I’m excited to have this season end. It hasn’t been inspiring to me. It’s been frustrating with the attitudes of the contestants. Someone has to win tonight so I hope it is Kim, but I have a feeling it will be one of the brother-sister duo. They are only going to drag the finale out 1 hour tonight so it appears even NBC is ready to be done with this season. Who do you think is going to win? mmacht@yourQ102.com
