I have some exciting news to share!
As some of you already know, the Springfield High School YES team was given the opportunity to design a video for the Samsung "Solve for Tomorrow" contest. We were given a lap top, camcorder, and Adobe software to produce a video about how science and technology can help the environment. We enlisted the help of some Elementary students and highlighted the EMP program in our video.
I found out this morning that our school's video has been selected as one of the top ten in the nation! This guarantees some fabulous technology prizes for the school, and also puts us in the running for a grand prize worth over $100,000 in technology and grant money! In order to win the grand prize, we need to gather online votes. I'm hoping each of you will help with this. The website to view the videos and vote is www.samsung.com/solvefortomorrow or at Samsung USA's Facebook page under the "Solve" tab. Public voting will commence today January 17, 2011 and run through February 18th, 2011. Once you register your vote with your e-mail address, you can vote up to 5 times a day!
