12-1-11 (Eden Prairie, MN)  --  Good news for Minnesota Vikings fans.  The team announced that Sunday's home game against the Broncos is sold out and will be shown on local television (12pm).  The Vikings have sold out 142 consecutive games at the Metrodome.  Meanwhile, the Donovan McNabb era is over in Minnesota.  The Vikings waived the 35-year-old quarterback today.  McNabb was acquired in a trade with the Redskins but was replaced by rookie Christian Ponder following a one-and-five start.  Any team that claims McNabb would owe him his remaining salary, roughly one-point-two-million dollars.
