Minneapolis puts $300M On The Table For Stadium

12-6-11 (St. Paul, MN)  --  Mayor R-T Rybak told a Senate committee today that Minneapolis is "prepared with existing revenue streams to put 300-million dollars on the table" toward a new Vikings stadium.  Ramsey County officials told lawmakers they're still working on a financing plan after legislative leaders took a sales tax increase out of the mix.  Senate Tax Committee Chair Julianne Ortman questioned the financials of the Vikings' pledged 425-million-dollar contribution.  Ortman urged the Vikings to provide the information quickly, telling the team's chief financial officer, "If you're asking us to act swiftly, I would say we have questions that should be answered swiftly."
