(Kalamazoo, Michigan) --  After a one-month break, the University of Minnesota Duluth men skated to victory Friday over Western Michigan, 4-1.  The number-one ranked Bulldogs came back after falling  1-0 in the first period, scoring four unanswered goals.  Senior forward Jack Connolly had three assists in the game.  The Bulldogs are 13-3-3 on the year.

(Canton, NY)  --  MSU lost a close one to St. Lawrence Friday night in New York, 4-3. The Saints got an early lead in teh first period with two Mavericks in the penalty box.  The Mavericks led briefly in the third period off a goal from freshman forward Jean-Paul Lafontaine. LSU scored the winning goal at 15:57.  The 5-15-1 Mavericks close out the two-game series with LSU tonight (Saturday).
