Each July since 1985, America has celebrated Park and Recreation Month. A program of the National Recreation and Park Association and the America’s Backyard initiative, the goal is to raise awareness of the vital impact that parks, recreation, and conservation have on communities, including ours right here in Willmar. Your Station 102.5, Q102 and Willmar Community Education and Recreation want you to “Get Wild!”
Everyone is encouraged to venture to any and all of the local parks and recreation areas in Willmar to experience the many benefits they offer, such as programs to inspire healthy, active lifestyles and activities to appreciate nature and the environment.
