When most people meet Taylor Swift for the first time, they probably don't start with, "Do you know who I am?" But that's exactly what The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice said to the pop star when she ran into her at Coachella in April. Apparently, Taylor did know who Teresa was. "I said, 'Can I get a photo?' And she was the sweetest person ever. I'm totally a Swiftie now. I love her," Teresa said on the May 7 episode of RHONJ.
Cynthia Erivo took to Instagram to gush about performing with Ariana Grande during the 2024 Met Gala. "Ari showed up bold and bright, and made some space for me on a stage that was hers for the night. I don’t think I’ll ever forget it. I’m so grateful," Cynthia wrote. "Hey Ari? You know this already but I love you and thank you."
Camila Cabello is putting out a new single featuring Lil Nas X. "He Knows" arrives Friday, May 8, and is available to presave and preadd on Spotify and Apple Music. "SHE’S A PROVOCATEUR, DANCEFLOOR CONNOISSEUR," Camila wrote in her announcement post on X.

Lady Gaga says her just-announced Chromatica Ball concert special, which will stream on Max on May 25, is a tribute to her devoted fans.
"I love you monsters more than I can say," she wrote on Instagram. "See yourself in every vocal, every fabric choice, the choreography, every image… Here’s the truth—no matter where life or my career has taken me, my time with you always is a path back to a very powerful part of myself."
"In a stadium filled with YOU it came to life. Thank you for that feeling," she added. "I hope you will feel seen when you watch this film. And know that I edited it carefully to honor you."
Gaga also says that the movie "chronicles a time of immense creativity…the fashion, the dance, the music. Revisiting the tour leaves me speechless the way we had each other—you all showed up for music and art in a big way, and with a level of excitement and freedom that I will never forget."
"I spent countless hours in the editing room bringing my vision for this film to life," she continued on a second post. "It is my gift to you - directed, produced and created by me, alongside some of the most talented, creative people in the world."

Along with the lead single "Eyes Closed," the set includes songs with titles such as "Take Me to the Beach," "Gods Don't Pray" and "Don't Forget Me."

Loom is due out June 28. It's the follow-up to the two-part Mercury album, which was released over 2021 and 2022.

Ed Sheeran was a surprise face on the red carpet at the Met Gala on May 6, but he says he only ended up attending because he's been working on the clothing he plans to wear when he releases his next album.
In a behind-the-scenes video for Vogue, Ed explains that he's known designer Stella McCartney for eight or nine years, and she will occasionally send him a piece or two. "For this next album campaign I'm going into, we're sort of doing some clothes for videos and that's when the conversation came up," Ed says. "I went in for a fitting and she was just like, 'Come to the Met.'"
It's surprising that Ed is planning his video outfits now, though, since he recently told People he's not planning to release any music in 2024. "I've made the new music and I'm just going to sit on it for a bit,” he said.
In the video, McCartney says the baby blue tuxedo she designed for Ed was "inspired" by him — specifically, she wanted it to match his eyes — and you'll learn how Ed achieves his artfully disheveled hairstyle.

The next time you feel too lazy to get off the couch, remember this: Jelly Roll just completed a 5K.
The race was held in Pasadena, California, on May 7, and Jelly told Entertainment Tonightafterward, "I feel great. I'm a little tired. It was a little bit harder than I thought it was [going to be], but it's awesome, man."
"I couldn't walk a mile when I started trying to do this back in January," he added. "So the fact that we got 3-point-whatever it was, got it down, I felt really, really good about it." He noted he got "really emotional at the finish line."
Jelly told ET that while training for the race he lost "50 to 70-something pounds" and plans to attempt a half-marathon next year.
"I think the coolest thing is how many people stopped to tell us that they were motivated by us, other big guys," he said. "It was just really cool to see that."

Ever since Lady Gaga's Chromatica Ball tour wrapped up in 2022, fans have been waiting for the concert film. Well, it's finally here.
One of the final shows on the tour, the September 10 date in LA, was recorded; in June 2023 Gaga confirmed on Instagram that she was working on editing The Chromatica Ball film. She confirmed on Wednesday that the concert special will stream May 25 on Max.
"OMG finally," one fan commented.
You can watch a teaser for the special on YouTube and HBO's Instagram, set to the album's single "Stupid Love."
The Chromatica Ball promoted Gaga's 2020 album, Chromatica; it was delayed by two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Gaga's first all-stadium tour, it grossed more than $112 million. Among the songs performed on the tour were "Bad Romance," "Rain On Me," "Shallow," "Poker Face," "Telephone," "Just Dance" and "Born This Way."

Taylor Swift has so far only released a video for one of the 31 songs on The Tortured Poets Department, but she's happy to let fans make some for her.
A TikTok user named Giacomo Benavides posted a 26-second video in which he acts out part of the song "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived." As Taylor sings, "Were you sent by someone who wanted me dead?/ Did you sleep with a gun underneath our bed?" Giacomo staggers outside, grabs a toy gun from behind a car, shoots it and then throws it away while dramatically lip-synching the lyrics.
As Taylor sings, "Were you writing a book? Were you a sleeper cell spy?/ In fifty years, will all this be declassified?" Giacomo pulls out a book and pretends to write in it. Then two guys appear and drag him toward a waiting police car.
Taylor somehow saw the video and approved: As captured by the Instagram account Comments by Celebs, she wrote, "This is the official music video" and added an emoji of a trophy.
In other Taylor-related news, her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, has landed another gig. In addition to being the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, the co-host of the New Heights podcast and the host of Prime Video's Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?, Variety reports that he's been cast in Grotesquerie, a new FX horror series from American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy. His co-stars include Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance and Lesley Manville.

Sure, Ariana Grande's songs are catchy, but one country music superstar is so taken with her latest single that he's compared it to an illegal drug.
Keith Urban — Nicole Kidman's better half — told People that Ariana's hit "we can't be friends" is his "absolute current obsession song right now."
"I don't know what is going on with that song, but I cannot stop playing it. It's like audible heroin. Literally, I have to have another hit. I play that thing over and over and over,” he said. He described it as having "some real celestial magic."
It's a good thing Keith and Nicole attended the Met Gala in New York City on May 6, because Ariana performed it during the event.
As for how he discovered the song, Keith told People that he's a fan: "Ariana has always had that unique vocal gift. On top of that, she's a phenomenal writer and producer. So it was easy for me to stumble upon that new album. I was interested in it before it came out.”
Keith also said he's been enjoying Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department, telling People, "I mean, God, Taylor's songwriting, it's so extraordinary. There's really no adjectives for it."
