Nick Jonas is a busy guy, which his wife, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, acknowledged in an Instagram post on May 9.
It was recently announced that Nick would co-star with Paul Rudd in a new comedy called Power Ballad, and filming is underway. Priyanka acknowledged the news by posting a photo of Nick with the caption, "Husband appreciation post: As I finish one he starts one. The universe keeps us in sync. So happy to be reunited as he starts filming Power Ballad. "
"Congratulations on your first day baby. There is no one who works harder than you," she continued. "This is going to be amazing.
Nick plays a rock star in the new film, but in his latest movie, The Good Half, which hits theaters July 23, he plays a writer. He tells Entertainment Weekly it was difficult for him to film a scene that required him to sing at a karaoke bar, because he wasn't sure how to not sound professional.
"It's really hard to think about how to try to sound not great, but not bad ... it was the one scene that I was nervous about stepping into for the film," he tells EW. "It certainly shakes things up mentally, but I thought it was a bizarre thing to try to figure out how to sing good-ish. I just tried to have fun with it and act like it was late in the evening after a few drinks, and that made it easier."
Nick will be back to singing professionally on May 23: He'll perform at amfAR's 30th anniversary gala in Cap D'Antibes, France. The event, hosted by Demi Moore and featuring "a special musical moment" with Cher, will benefit The Foundation for AIDS Research.

ZAYN is opening up about his time with One Direction in a new interview with The Zach Sang Show.
ZAYN left 1D in 2015; he's releasing his fourth solo album, Room Under the Stairs, on May 5. He tells Sang, "The one thing I always feel bad about when I look back over my life is not enjoying the band enough. I feel like I just took things too seriously."
"I’m grateful that I’m able to be happier now ... I didn’t understand the importance of just trying to be happy," he adds. "I had this teen angst thing going on, a chip on my shoulder where I’m like, ‘It’s really cool to just be moody as f*** all the time.’ But it's not. You're just a loser.”
ZAYN admits relations between him and his bandmates, Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall, weren't always as good as they could have been, and he regrets that, as well.
“I think the thing was, we were so young. And when we were in the band, we didn’t have that level of compassion yet because we didn’t understand life yet. We just were young kids that just were thrown in the situation," he says.
He adds, "Y'know, we resented each other to a certain degree because we were solo artists that were put in a band, and we should have never felt that way. It should have never been a competition. It should have always been a camaraderie, and we should have always been there for each other and had each other’s backs."
Now, ZAYN says, "I’ve become a more compassionate, caring person for other people. And the thing that I learned is I could have done that earlier.”

Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift go way back, and they've collaborated with each other multiple times. So what does Ed think of Taylor's new album, The Tortured Poets Department?
"I think it's great. I always love the work that she does with Aaron [Dessner], and yeah, I think it's a very powerful album," Ed told Extra. Aaron produced most of the "surprise" portion of The Tortured Poets Department: the 15 Anthology songs Taylor released just a few hours after the "regular" version of the record.
In fact, Ed was such a fan of what Taylor's created with Aaron that he hired him to produce the two albums he released in 2023: - (Subtract) and Autumn Variations.
Speaking about his friendship with Taylor, Ed told Extra, "I find speaking to people in the same industry as you ... I have a lot of friends that I grew up with obviously that I can speak to about stuff, but when you have someone in the same industry as you, they sorta get the things that you get, I guess."

Andy Cohen and John Mayer are BFFs who are extremely close, but the Bravo exec and host wants to make it very clear: their relationship isn't sexual.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Cohen, who's gay, addressed what the publication called the "intense speculation" surrounding his relationship with Mayer. "Let them speculate! I honestly love John Mayer, and he loves me. But because we’re so affectionate toward each other, people don’t know what box to put that in."
"They assume we’re sleeping with each other, which we are most definitely not," he added.
It's not surprising that there has been speculation, though. In an interview with Howard Stern last year, Cohen said, "I am in love with John Mayer. We are in love with each other." And when John gave a speech at Andy's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in 2022, he said, "I love Andy more than I can tell you."
Meanwhile, John is getting ready to kick off a residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas with Dead & Company. It starts on May 16 and is scheduled to wrap up on June 22.

Others who won awards for writing some of the most-played hits of the past year include Dua Lipa for "Dance the Night," Noah Kahan for "Dial Drunk," St. Vincent for co-writing Taylor Swift's "Cruel Summer," Meghan Trainor for "Made You Look" and Mariah Carey for "All I Want for Christmas Is You."

Maroon 5 has been together for more than 20 years, and singer Adam Levine says it's amazing that he and his bandmates still love each other. That doesn't mean there haven't been challenges along the way.
While appearing on the Questlove Supreme podcast from The Roots and Jimmy Fallon drummer Questlove, Adam marveled at the fact that Maroon 5 hasn't split up. "We're really lucky because everyone really likes each other and wants to get along, you know?" he said. "Like, tell me [another] band that's been able to stay together [this long]."
"We've been together for 20 years, longer, almost ... and we actually don't want to kill each other, you know?" he added. "Sometimes ... but we love each other and the respect has always been there and is there."
However, Adam said that when he first started writing songs exclusively with people outside the band, the rest of Maroon 5 was upset.
"That was a controversial moment for us internally," he said, explaining that the other guys were afraid the band's "soul" would be "corrupted" by "someone else's ideas."
"But then it worked!" he noted. "I mean, our first co-write was 'Moves Like Jagger!' So that was like, 'Oh s***, maybe we can do this for a while.' And so that was a negotiation of me being like, 'Hey, it's working ... trust me, and ... let me lead. And if it's not working, then ...we'll talk about it, we'll regroup, we'll make things a little more democratic.'"
After that, Adam said, the rest of the band was "super cool with it."
When asked how Maroon 5 got their name, Adam wouldn't answer.
"I'll never tell anybody," he replied. "I told Billy Joel. He knows ... and he doesn't remember, 'cause he'd really had a few and didn't care!"

When most people meet Taylor Swift for the first time, they probably don't start with, "Do you know who I am?" But that's exactly what The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice said to the pop star when she ran into her at Coachella in April. Apparently, Taylor did know who Teresa was. "I said, 'Can I get a photo?' And she was the sweetest person ever. I'm totally a Swiftie now. I love her," Teresa said on the May 7 episode of RHONJ.
Cynthia Erivo took to Instagram to gush about performing with Ariana Grande during the 2024 Met Gala. You know this already but I love you and thank you."

Lady Gaga says her just-announced Chromatica Ball concert special, which will stream on Max on May 25, is a tribute to her devoted fans.
"I love you monsters more than I can say," she wrote on Instagram. "See yourself in every vocal, every fabric choice, the choreography, every image… Here’s the truth—no matter where life or my career has taken me, my time with you always is a path back to a very powerful part of myself."
"In a stadium filled with YOU it came to life. Thank you for that feeling," she added. "I hope you will feel seen when you watch this film. And know that I edited it carefully to honor you."
Gaga also says that the movie "chronicles a time of immense creativity…the fashion, the dance, the music. Revisiting the tour leaves me speechless the way we had each other—you all showed up for music and art in a big way, and with a level of excitement and freedom that I will never forget."
"I spent countless hours in the editing room bringing my vision for this film to life," she continued on a second post. "It is my gift to you - directed, produced and created by me, alongside some of the most talented, creative people in the world."
